Bam House is a bible believing Christian organization.  Christian principles are the guidelines used to maintain the house structure and house rules.  Under staff supervision the self-sufficient peer led structure promotes responsibility, productivity, builds esteem, and helps clients identify strengths, weaknesses and behavioral defects.

Residents must agree to accept a peer office position, which is purposed to facilitate the house structure.  Staff rotates these positions regularly.  Evaluations by staff are based on performance of duties.  The BAM House staff supervised offices and responsibilities are as follows:

• President- Oversees house business meetings; ensures that all house business is addressed; acts as liaison for Bam House staff; assists all officers ensuring that they have needed resources.

• Vice president assists the president and assumes the responsibility of president if not available.

• Secretary- maintains the minutes of house business meetings; ensures that all house documents and forms are maintained and filed properly; assists the president.

• Kitchen helper- Works closely with staff and peers for menu planning, food prep/storage and kitchen sanitation.

• Property/Supplies manager- Inspects all living quarters and documents needed repairs and makes corrections. Maintains an inventory of all house supplies and submits purchase requests to staff. Assist chore coordinator.

• Chore coordinator- Assigns and routinely inspects chores; reports all inspections during house business meeting. Assists property manager.

• Meetings and activities coordinator- coordinates outside meetings, and recreational activities.

Services are provided without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age or disability in all aspects of service provision. BAM House Inc. is firmly committed to compliance and enforcement of all federal and state regulations which forbid discrimination in the delivery of services to clients and patients served by the programs of the agency.

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be clean and sober for at least 14 days. Detox must have occurred prior to admission.
• Have a history of substance abuse possibly accompanied by homelessness. 
• Residents must agree to accept a peer office position. (See description of positions) 
• Have the ability to pay program fees.
• Pay a $100.00 processing fee.

BAM House will make arrangements for prospective residents who are unable to pay their fees . No one is turned away due to inability to pay. Fees can be waived for those meeting eligibility requirements.
